Argentinian whites showing great quality

In Tim Atkin’s 2019 Special Report on Argentina he talks about the quality of Argentinian whites and how they’re improving with every vintage, with those at their best up there with Chilean whites. Leading winemaker, Susana Balbo, also believes that there is huge potential for Argentinian whites and Argentina should be recognised as a top white wine producing country. It’s a fascinating report on Argentina and it’s now available to buy over at timatkin.com @susanabalbowines

The wine featured above is Susana’s barrel fermented Torrontés. It has all the varietal character of classic Torrontés with notes of rose petal and jasmine, but nicely rounded following a little barrel fermentation
