New arrival...Zuccardi Concreto Malbec

New arrival...Zuccardi Concreto Malbec

Excited to welcome Zuccardi's Concreto Malbec 2018 to the portfolio! As the name suggests, Concreto has been aged in Zuccardi's concrete eggs, allowing gentle maturation and plenty of mineral character. This premium Uco Valley Malbec has fantastic herbal character, lots of strawberry and cherry fruit, great structure and a long length.

Just a note about the concrete eggs...they're hugely popular in Argentina for both fermenting and ageing a wine. Using the eggs enables the winemaker to retain the wine's fruity character while allowing a little micro oxygenation, as well as adding texture without the oak.  It also brings a lovely mineral quality to the wine. Look out for those eggs!
