This wine was made using Masi's specialist appassimento method, where the grapes are dried for 20 days before fermentation. One of the most original winemaking projects of recent years, Masi Tupungato is a fusion of Venetian technique and Argentine terroir. Passo Blanco sets the scene with its blend of grape varieties, but Passo Doble goes a step further: two-thirds Malbec is re-fermented with lightly-dried Corvina, enhancing depth and savouriness while maintaining balancing acidity. Full of spicy fruit, with great body and length, this experiment has been a sure-fire success!
