Sauvignon Blanc plantings in Argentina are few and far between, but we've found a fascinating gem from Bodega Tacuil in the northern province of Salta. It's one of the highest altitude Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in the world at 2400 metres above sea level, and the style reflects this high altitude, cool climate location. Concentrated green fruit and citrus notes combine with hints of white flower and a refreshing streak of acidity, keeping this 2015 vintage lively and refreshing. We've never tasted a Sauvignon Blanc quite like it, but we found ourselves wanting another glass...or two! It's rich and complex and great with food.

Bodega Tacuil is a little oasis in one of the most remote and extreme locations in the entire world of wine. Owner, Raul Davalos Snr, is one of the giants of the Argentine wine industry, with his family owning land in the region since the early 19th century. His wines are all about the purity of fruit, with the family famously pioneering an unoaked style.
